| ARTICLE 13 - TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY |

The General assembly shall have the following terms
of reference:
To receive the annual activities report of the Executive Committee;
To approve the accounts of the previous financial year and the budget
for the following year;
To elect by a simple majority of votes cast, the President from the
list of candidates resulting from the proposals of the affiliated
Members;
Should there be more than 2 candidates, the system whereby the candidate
obtaining the lowest number of votes at each successive poll withdraws,
shall be applied;
In the case of equality of votes, the Executive Committee shall be
called upon to vote by secret ballot. If at the issue of this vote,
the candidates are still tied, the retiring President would have
a casting vote whether or not he was himself standing for election;
To elect by a simple majority of votes cast, the Deputy President,
the remaining Members of the Executive Committee;
To decide on applications for membership submitted for approval by
the Executive Committee;
To approve the internal regulations of the Institute. |
