On 3rd April 2008 medical delegates from around the globe gathered for the annual FIA Institute Centre of Excellence Summit to discuss Medicine in Motor Sport. As a recently awarded FIA Institute Centre of Excellence the Bahrain International Circuit played host to this prestigious event.
The FIA Institute Centre of Excellence second annual summit, Medicine in Motor Sport, focused on medical advancements in Formula One and other motor sports.
Featuring a selection of speakers from medically acclaimed institutions worldwide, the summit simultaneously used medical excellence in motor sport to set a benchmark for medical excellence in other sports, as well as across the GCC region.
The conference featured:
- High-level speakers including world leaders in the practice of motor sport and sports medicine
- Presentations on the latest research and best practice in Formula One and World Rallying
- Key stakeholders from across the international motor sport safety and medical community
- The launch of the FIA Institute Medical Faculty,
a new and unique network for medical expertise
