Facility improvement programme

The Facility Improvement Programme aims to improve the safety standards and the economic and environmental sustainability of motor sport facilities around the world, especially in developing motor sport regions.

This will be achieved through the provision of advice via a facilities development consultancy. The programme will not, however, provide funding for physical improvements or development of facilities.

The FIA Institute will partner with an organisation that can assist with the development of a best practice framework for facilities sustainability and work with selected ASNs to implement the framework.

The framework will incorporate the existing FIA safety regulations and will facilitate a detailed understanding of the key elements required to develop or enhance sustainable motor sport facilities. Once developed, this framework will be used as a template by ASNs around the world to improve or develop their motor sport facilities.

Grants will be provided to ASNs from the Fund to support the above activities.
